Price increase slated for USPS Priority Mail

The USPS announced on October 16 that it will be raising rates for Shipping Services, which includes Priority Mail, on January 17, 2016. First-class mail prices will stay the same.

The new prices, if approved, represent the first price increase in more than three years for commercial Priority Mail. The average price increase for Priority Mail is 9.8 percent.

There was no announcement of price increases in any other mail class.
